Following Sunday night’s WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event, Cody Rhodes cut a brief promo for the live crowd who were in attendance at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, IL.
Rhodes, who was crying as he spoke, told the fans that he would be coming to RAW this week to talk more about his injury and future. He thanked everyone for coming to the show and said he appreciated their support.
Rhodes apologized for being injured and said he wanted to make sure everyone knew that he was the one who made the decision to work the match. He said it wasn’t anyone else in the back who pressured him into doing it.
Rhodes ended his promo by saying that nothing was going to prevent him from reaching his goal of becoming WWE Champion.
