Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Vince McMahon made changes to this week’s Monday Night RAW main event. The original plan had Randy Orton teaming with Humberto Carrillo and Ricochet against The O.C.
However, Rey Mysterio was put in place of Orton. The original finish had Mysterio helping the babyfaces win. McMahon made the change because he wanted to see Orton hit the RKO at the end, and felt AJ Styles needed to be coming off a pin for it to work. Ricochet took the pinfall because McMahon didn’t want Mysterio to take the loss.
