Vince McMahon Reportedly Could Be Facing Pat McAfee At WrestleMania

A new report from John Pollock of POST Wrestling has claimed that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is set to make his in-ring return at the age of seventy-six at WrestleMania 38. It is believed that McMahon will make his in-ring return against Pat McAfee.

The report states that multiple WWE sources with whom they spoke with stated that McMahon and McAfee were set for a match on the show. Following this when asking one particular source with knowledge of the situation if their encounter was to be billed as a match on the ‘Mania card, the response was “most likely.”

Vince McMahon is currently set to appear on the Pat McAfee show next Thursday, so this could be seen as a potential launching point for any future angle.

As of the time of this writing, Vince McMahon has not wrestled a match since his bout against Bret Hart at WrestleMania 26. He has however got physical on a few occasions since then, most recently on-screen when Kevin Owens headbutted him back in 2017. McMahon would also show Rob Gronkowski how to take a fall off a platform during the rehearsals for WrestleMania 36.

It is also worth noting that any potential program with McAfee/McMahon could instead see Austin Theory take McMahon’s place in a physical capacity.
