On the latest episode of his “Writing With Russo” podcast, former WWE head writer Vince Russo weighed in on a potential Hurt Business reunion. He heavily criticized Bobby Lashley’s direction in WWE lately. Russo also didn’t mince words when talking about Head of Creative Triple H.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On Triple H not being qualified for his role: “I guess this is another Triple H idea. Triple H is changing Lashley’s character again. These frickin’ guys, they are not qualified for the position. I didn’t even read the article because I don’t care. How many character changes there are gonna be before you look in the mirror and say, ‘you know what, man? I’m not really qualified to do this; there have been a lot more misses than hits. I really need to find someone who knows what they are doing.'”

On what makes a successful company: “I’m a big advocate of staying in your lane. You know what you do best. You know what your strengths are, you know what your weaknesses are. If everyone stayed in their lane, you’d have a very successful company. But what you have is people crossing over lanes because more hats, more positions means more money means more power. Bro, we are all not good at everything, bro.”

Comparing Triple H as booker to himself as WCW World Heavyweight Champion: “Bro, I got drilled through a cage and was the heavyweight champion for 24 hours. Bro, do you think, realistically, I could have been a heavyweight champion? That is the equivalent of Triple H writing the show. That is the equivalent of it, bro. And that’s my problem. If guys just stayed in your lane and did what you were good at and found the right people for the other jobs, bro.”

On the right way to reunite Bobby Lashley & the Hurt Business: “Now you’re bringing The Hurt Business back together, and now they are at a point where they mean even less than they did before. Like you were saying, bro, if Lashley was on the run, okay, bro, let’s rebuild these guys. Let’s make these guys strong again, and you know what? Build them, build them, six months later, we’ll reunite them.”

On how the Hurt Business is a lost cause: “That’s not what they did! You crapped on these guys, you beat these guys, you buried these guys. So now they mean absolutely nothing, so now you’re gonna put Lashley with guys that mean absolutely nothing. Come on, Chris; these people are not qualified for their jobs, man.”

On the only way the faction could possibly work: “I’m gonna do what I did every time I wrote a wrestling show. I’m gonna put myself, as I’m writing this, in Bobby Lashley’s shoes. ‘Oh, The Hurt Business. Those guys have lost about 40 matches in a row; let me team back up with them.’ Who would do that? If anything, recruit new guys. Find new young studs. ‘This should have been The Hurt Business. With those guys, it was all about them. These guys know it’s all about me.’ But to go back to the well, logically, it makes zero sense.”
