Cameron Grimes has earned a legion of fans from his time in WWE NXT, but Vince Russo certainly isn’t one of them.
Grimes joined WWE in 2019 and is a former NXT North American Champion and the final Million Dollar Champion.
During this week’s episode of RAW, Grimes appeared to recruit Gallows and Anderson for his match against the Schism on NXT, which the faces would win.
Speaking on Legion of RAW, Russo was heavily critical of Grimes’ appearance.
“I’m seeing for the first time in my life, Cameron Grimes. I swear to god, I’m watching this guy, I don’t know who this guy is, but I know I saw better talent Saturday on a freaking indie show!
“I did! I actually did. I saw better people than this guy. How is this guy on TV? I don’t care who he was.”
Prior to WWE, Grimes competed in Impact Wrestling as Trevor Lee, where he is a former X-Division and World Tag Team Champion.
