A recent report from an uncredible wrestling news website suggested that Vince Russo has been calling WWE every day and “begging” to get hired. The report also claimed that Russo tries to position the narrative to the public that he’d never work there again.

Russo has since responded to the report, calling it a “100 percent lie.”

“100% LIE-NEVER said I was offered a job as a Consultant because-I NEVER WAS. Provide that clip-you Hack. I haven’t worked for WWE in 23 YEARS. Who am I calling-I don’t talk to 1 PERSON there. What trash. U should be ashamed. This is why you’re nothing but a GLORIFIED FAN- U MARK”

Vince Russo did recently appear on the “Pounding The Meat” podcast and said that he had an email exchange with Vince McMahon a couple of months ago. The former WWE head writer stated that he reached out to offer his services as a consultant.

“A couple of months ago,” Russo said about his conversation with McMahon. “I was offering my help as a consultant. I didn’t want to be hired, I’m never gonna work in that environment again but I was like ‘bro your show freaking sucks.’ Seriously, are you watching? It was that conversation all over again. How that ended was Vince wanted me to watch Raw for a couple of weeks and give my feedback. I’m like bro I’ll be happy to do that, I ain’t doing that for free. Your product sucks bro, I’m willing to help you. I’m not gonna jump through hoops to help you. If you wanna pay me to critique the show for the next couple of months, I’ll be happy to do that. But I certainly was not gonna do that for free because the product is horrible. I was just looking to help the guy because the product is horrible!”

Russo compared the current product to WWE’s product in 1992. This comes after Russo reached out to McMahon in 2017 as well. In October of 2021, he claimed that he had his final email exchange with McMahon.
