WWE NXT UK Champion WALTER may very well be defending his NXT UK Championship twice during WrestleMania 37 week. Following Wednesday’s episode of NXT, following an interaction with Tommaso Ciampa, Ciampa initially challenged WALTER to a title match. WALTER declined, but following an attack by Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner, WALTER had a change of heart and told Ciampa he would see him at TakeOver.
Unless plans change, WWE did previously announce that WALTER would be defending the championship against Rampage Brown during the NXT UK Prelude special on Thursday, April 8th. This would mean that despite that match occurring on April 8th, a title showdown between Ciampa and WALTER would take place on Night One of TakeOver: Stand and Deliver.
The NXT “Takeover: Stand and Deliver” event will take place on Wednesday, April 7 and Thursday, April 8. Night One will air on the USA Network while Night Two will air on Peacock and the WWE Network.
