As seen during Tuesday night’s Halloween Havoc themed episode of WWE NXT 2.0, Io Shirai took a nasty bump during a ladder match.
During the match, Shirai was positioned high up on a ladder when Indi Hartwell came up from behind and pushed it over. This led to Shirai falling out of the ring and landing hard on a ladder that had been set up on the outside of the ring.
According to sources, Shirai was said to have been okay backstage after the match. Following the show, Shirai took to Twitter and said,
“I am not dead.
I will always keep getting up to do my best.
Just sad that the title is not on my waist…
