A bizarre segment during a commercial break during last night’s episode of SmackDown on FOX has had fans believing that Bray Wyatt’s return to the promotion is imminent.
Wyatt hasn’t been with WWE since his controversial release in July 2021, which reportedly was because of creative differences with then-CEO Vince McMahon.
During last night’s SmackDown, WWE played ‘White Rabbit’ during a commercial break, which does not traditionally happen during breaks at televised WWE events.
Fans held their camera lights up, symbolizing the ‘fireflies’ that were often present during Wyatt’s time on WWE TV.
Ominous red light was also used, which was also used for Wyatt during his tenure as The Fiend.
WWE has offered no explanation for the bizarre commercial break sequence.
On social media, fans speculated about whether this is a tease for Bray Wyatt’s return, who has been in talks with WWE.
