According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite had the lowest attendance ever (excluding the shows where fans weren’t allowed).
The belief is that they were coming off the Full Gear pay-per-view event (higher ticket prices) and the tickets were limited due to the pandemic. There was also Hurricane Eta that was in the area. Of course, another challenge is that the show is being held in the same city (Jacksonville, FL) each week and some people simply don’t have the $30 to put down each week.
There were said to have been “a couple hundred” fans “at best.”
