As we’ve noted, former WWE NXT Tag Team Champions The Revival recently requested their release from WWE. Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder reportedly asked for their release from the company following their match on last week’s episode of Monday Night RAW.

The pair reportedly wanted to do so before the show, however, Vince McMahon and Triple H were preoccupied attempting to plan out Bruan Strowman’s segment for the program. According to a report from Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, The Revival’s WWE contracts are set to expire in April of 2020. The team has not received their release, and likely won’t anytime soon given all the hype surrounding All Elite Wrestling (AEW).

The Revival are still working WWE events, as they just competed in a Triple Threat Tag Team match during WWE’s live show in San Antonio, Texas. It was also noted by Meltzer that Wilder trademarking “#FTR” earlier this month was no coincidence, and the pair have been thinking about leaving WWE for some time now.
