Who Was In Control At WWE SmackDown?, Were Triple H & Stephanie McMahon Backstage?

As we reported yesterday here on eWn, it was “business as usual” during Friday night’s WWE SmackDown TV tapings despite the latest allegations against Vince McMahon.

According to a report from Pwinsider, Vince McMahon was “100% responsible” for the creative around Friday night’s episode of WWE SmackDown.

With that being said, McMahon arrived to the show later than usual. He didn’t address the allegations raised in a new Wall Street Journal report. There was also no backstage meeting that took place with the staff and talent before the show. One source said the situation was being described as the “proverbial elephant in the room” and it was simply being ignored. Nobody is being told anything and Vince McMahon continues to put on a “front” that he’s happier than ever and has no concerns whatsoever.

Additionally, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H were not backstage at the TV tapings.

WWE’s head of Talent Relations and Creative, Bruce Prichard, was at the TV taping. Prichard recently took several weeks off after undergoing shoulder surgery.
