The WWE Universe was given some tremendous news last night (Mon. February 25, 2019). Former Universal Champion Roman Reigns came out to the ring to announce that his leukemia is now in remission. Reigns said “The Big Dog” is now back! Shortly after the announcement, Reigns’ good friend and Shield stablemate, Seth Rollins, came out to celebrate with Reigns.
However, some wondered why Dean Ambrose didn’t also come out to celebrate the news. According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, the decision was made that Ambrose shouldn’t join Rollins and Reigns for the segment. Apparently, Ambrose got extremely emotional backstage during Reigns’ announcement. As a result, he was held off for the time being. Instead, after Reigns’ good news, the decision for Reigns and Rollins to come to Ambrose’s aid later on in the show was made.
For now, it looks like Reigns is finally back with WWE. It remains to be seen how much of a schedule he’ll be working, or if he’ll slowly be eased back into action until after WrestleMania.
