There weren’t too many surprises at this past weekend’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view (PPV). But one surprise that did occur, however, was Nia Jax’s involvement in the Men’s Royal Rumble match. Jax entered at number 30, as she attacked R-Truth before he made his way to the ring, taking his place.
She eliminated Mustafa Ali from the match, before being attacked by Rey Mysterio, Randy Orton, and Dolph Ziggler. This was reportedly done to kick off more intergender matches in WWE, per Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio. Fans were unhappy when the men and women couldn’t interact during the Mixed Match Challenge.
Jax also interacted with the men again on Monday Night RAW the following night, knocking Dean Ambrose out of the ring.
