Wildkat Sports & Entertainment, owned by Luke Hawx, has a new investor who has purchased a minority share in the wrestling company and plans to build the company up, with a whole set of events for 2024 already being locked in.

Pwinsider is reporting that the current plan is to upgrade the promotion’s production and other aspects of the company.

Hawx said in response to the report, “I spent the last twelve years building Wildkat from my vision and throughout those years we worked hard to make all those visions successful. This new addition is a major part of that in moving forward with our future and we are looking forward to our partnership.”

The report further notes that Hawx’s tag team with his son PJ, HawxAerie, will not be continuing due to personal issues between the two.

PJ Hawx will stay with Wildkat Sports & Entertainment and work as a singles competitor going forward.

Luke said, “Everyone has issues. We haven’t seen eye to eye in a long while both personally and professionally and it was best for us to part ways. You can’t have a tag team when two people aren’t on the same page. We are at different stages in life and I think he doesn’t want to just be ‘Luke Hawx’s son.’ He wants to be his own man. I can respect that, so he’ll have to build his own career in the direction he wants it.”

In other news, Frankie Kazarian made his return to Impact Wrestling earlier in January after requesting AEW to not renew his contract.

Kazarian decided to quit AEW after he was upset with his spot in the company. It was said at the time that AEW and Kazarian parted ways on amicable terms and that AEW President Tony Khan was open to working with Kazarian in the future.

Kazarian took to Twitter to reflect on his decision to bet on himself. He wrote,

“In January I made a difficult, but VERY necessary decision. I decided to bet on myself. It resulted in the most rewarding, successful & overall fun years of my career. I urge all of you who may be in a similar situation that action speaks louder than words. Don’t talk it, walk it.”
