As previously reported here on eWrestlingNews.com, The Elite reportedly turned down seven-figure deals from WWE in their most recent negotiations.
Of course, Cody and The Young Bucks, along with others, are expected to have a hand in something called All Elite Wrestling. The crew wrestles what is expected to be their last major NJPW date on January 4. Before that, they have a countdown clock ticking down on their web series Being The Elite which will go off on January 1.
With one of the most anticipated announcements in modern wrestling history on the horizon, January can’t come fast enough.
The Young Bucks’ Matt Jackson tweeted the following, confirming that the team won’t be in action at the planned joint NJPW/ROH show at Madison Square Garden in April 2019.
As previously reported, The Young Bucks bid goodbye to ROH and the ROH fans at the Final Battle pay-per-view event earlier this month. Recent reports have connected them with being part of a new rumored wrestling promotion, All Elite Wrestling.
We will not be there, but I encourage everyone to still go. It’s a historic night for wrestling. https://t.co/kPVEjtTqIa
