UPDATE: Yesterday, there were some reports that WWE was going to tape a Latin American tournament this summer. William Regal tweeted the following today, denying those reports:

ORIGINAL: According to a new report from Planeta Wrestling, WWE is planning to tape a Latin American tournament this summer. WWE will be working with talent from Latin America for their upcoming tournament. This follows the WWE’s Cruiserweight, Mae Young Classic and UK tournaments.
The site reports that the tournament will feature wrestlers from Chile, Peru, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil and other countries. The tournament will be held in Chile by the end of August. As of this writing, there are no plans to crown a new champion or guarantee a full-time WWE NXT contract to the winner. Of course, that could always change.
