Wrestle Kingdom 17 Attendance Figures Disclosed



New Japan Pro Wrestling statistician Chris Hamsa has disclosed the attendance figures for Night 1 of the Wrestle Kingdom 17 pay-per-view event.

Taking to twitter earlier today, Hamsa tweeted the following:

What happened at Wrestle Kingdom 17?

Night 1 of Wrestle Kingdom 17 saw Mercedes Moné fka Sasha Banks make her highly anticipated debut in NJPW. She confronted and attacked IWGP Women’s Champion KAIRI after her match.

‘The Cleaner’ Kenny Omega made a triumphant return to New Japan, defeating Will Ospreay to win the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship.

The main event of the night saw Kazuchika Okada regain the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship, defeating ‘Switchblade’ Jay White.

Elsewhere on the card, WWE Superstar Karl Anderson lost his NEVER Openweight Championship to Tama Tonga. FTR also dropped the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championships to Hirooki Goto and Yoshi-Hashi.

Keiji Muto teamed with Hiroshi Tanahashi and Shota Umino to defeat Los Ingobernables de Japon in his NJPW farewell match.

Furthermore, Hiromu Takahashi won a four-way match to win the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship for the fifth time, whereas Zack Sabre Jr. became the inaugural NJPW World Television Champion.
