Ronda Rousey came up short when she challenged Charlotte Flair for the WWE SmackDown Women’s title at WWE WrestleMania 38 on Saturday.
After a referee bump, Rousey tapped out Flair with an armbar. However, when she went to get the referee up, Flair hit a big boot for the win.
Dave Meltzer spoke about the fan interest from the show on Wrestling Observer Radio today. Cody Rhodes garnered the most interest, with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin coming in at number two.
“As far as after the show, complete interest levels and everything like that on Google for ‘Mania – Cody was number one, Austin was number two, Roman was number four, and Ronda Rousey was not high, which is an interesting one because she’d been so high going in. So the bloom is off the Ronda Rousey rose by the way.”
