Wrestling Entertainment Series, the new promotion founded by the Authors of Pain has a long way to go before making its debut event a success.
This Saturday, WES will host its first event which has come under controversy for advertising talent no longer appearing.
Ex-WWE Superstars Nia Jax (Lina Fanene) and Lana (CJ Perry) have both made it clear they are no longer involved, though Fanene is still featured on the poster.
According to journalist Adam Cailler, the event has dramatically struggled to sell tickets for the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham, which can hold 10,000 attendees.
Cailler reports that the show has sold 350 seats so far.
The show will be headlined by the crowning of the first WES World Champion in a match between Alistair Overeem and Moose, who is replacing Adam Scherr.
Just been told that this re-arranged show, which still has people advertised on the poster who aren't coming, and is being held at the 10,000 seater Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham has sold *drum roll*…
