InDemand, a pay-per-view service provider, has announced its plan to cease operations in the upcoming year.
The service was established in 1985 under Viewer’s Choice and rebranded as InDemand in 2000. At that time, InDemand was the leading distributor of all significant pay-per-view wrestling events.
Although ECW faced challenges in obtaining clearance to air during the late 90s, the service remained a major platform for pay-per-view distribution until its recent decision to shut down.
InDemand’s CEO, Dale Hopkins, has confirmed that the company will officially cease operations by the end of 2025.
Comcast, Charter Communications, and Cox Communications will take over pay-per-view distribution.
