Tammy Sytch’s attempt to shorten her time spent in prison was shut down this week when a Volusia County judge officially denied her request.
Sytch is currently serving 17 years for multiple charges stemming from the death of 75-year-old Julian Lasseter in 2022.
Had Sytch’s request been successful, her sentences would’ve run at the same time, meaning she’d only be behind bars for her longest sentence of 10.5 years.
Sytch, known to fans as Sunny, pleaded no contest to the charges, which included DUI causing death and driving with a suspended license resulting in death.
In her request, Sytch spoke of life behind bars, stating that she is earning qualifications and has been working as an educational aid.
Sytch has also been serving in a mentor role to new offenders. With her request denied, Sytch is still set for release on September 13, 2039.
