It’s no secret that the WWE 2K20 video game has had a terrible reputation since its initial release several months ago. However, things continue to get worse for this year’s installment in the video game series.
Several players on social media have complained that the game is now crashing thanks to a glitch in which the year has changed to 2020 on their systems after the new year. The game will crash once a player tries to use anything that requires online play. This includes 2K Towers, MyPlayer (which includes My Career and Road To Glory) and any WWE 2K Original content.
No solution has been offered, but a patch is expected soon. For now, players can not play unless they switch the year on their consoles to 2019 or earlier. 2K released the following statement on the matter:
Hey Superstars! We are aware of the issues related to #WWE2K20 crashing and are currently investigating. We are working towards a solution and will update you all when we have more information.
Here are a few of the complaints from players online:

This is wild, WWE 2K20 isn't working now because we're in the year 2020. This game keeps delivering. pic.twitter.com/xYbAKgAzdW
