WWE announced that Davey Boy Smith would join the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2020. That didn’t happen because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, WWE still has plans to hold the ceremony at some point. It is likely that the Class of 2020 will simply become the Class of 2021 and get inducted at WrestleMania. According to a report by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, a representative for the company was at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport last weekend to shoot footage for an upcoming WWE Network documentary on The British Bulldog.
His son, Davey Boy Smith Jr., competed at Bloodsport, defeating Josh Alexander. WWE also followed Smith the entire weekend, including his time training at the gym.
