In case you missed it on Monday, John Cena announced during the 9AM EST hour of “The Today Show” that Al Roker would be the special guest ring announcer for John Cena and Nikki Bella vs. The Miz and Maryse at WrestleMania 33. Roker and his family had already been planning to attend the big pay-per-view and WWE offered to have him be a special ring announcer for the match. John Cena hosted the 9AM EST hour of Monday’s “Today Show” and will do the same today (Tuesday). Nikki Bella was also with Cena during Monday’s show. There is no word on if she’ll also be appearing on Tuesday’s show.
It was announced to the live crowd at Monday’s WWE RAW TV tapings in Philadelphia, PA that the company will be returning to the city on July 23rd for the Battleground pay-per-view event. An online pre-sale will take place via Ticketmaster.com using the code WWEPHILLY.
As announced on RAW, Michael Cole said there were 17,293 fans at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA for RAW. That was a legitimate sellout as reported earlier here on eWn.
