The main event would showcase a triple threat match to determine the number one contender for the WWE Championship. After winning their respective matches Randy Orton would successfully defeat Seth Rollins and Keith Lee.

WWE has since officially confirmed that Orton will face the current WWE Champion Drew McIntyre at Clash of Champions on September 27.
