As expected, WWE has officially announced that “The Almighty” Bobby Lashley will defend the WWE Championship against Goldberg at SummerSlam.

Last month, Goldberg made his return to WWE on the July 19 episode of RAW as he interrupted WWE Champion Bobby Lashley. In classic Goldberg fashion, he would tell Lashley “I’m Next!”. However, Lashley would take to Twitter with the following:
You don’t belong in the same world as me, let alone the same ring. Get that close again, @The305MVP won’t be able to hold me back.

WWE SummerSlam will emanate live from the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Saturday, Aug. 21. The event will begin streaming at 8 ET/5 PT exclusively on Peacock in the United States and WWE Network everywhere else. As always, the staff here at eWn will be providing live coverage during the event.
