CM Punk is a “free agent” in WWE for the time being.
During Monday night’s episode of RAW, Michael Cole announced on commentary that Punk is a “free agent.” Of course, that means he can appear on either RAW or SmackDown for now.
As we previously reported here on eWn, Punk was not backstage at the MVP Arena in Albany, New York and was never scheduled to appear on this week’s show. They are saving his next appearance for this Friday night’s episode of WWE SmackDown.
It was strongly hinted that Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis will make offers to CM Punk on SmackDown, similar to what happened last week with Randy Orton. While not confirmed just yet, it is said that CM Punk will be joining the RAW brand to feud with Seth Rollins. Orton was put on the SmackDown brand to continue feuding with The Bloodline.
Speaking of CM Punk, he’ll be appearing on next week’s episode of RAW. You can check out the updated lineup for next week’s episode of WWE RAW below:
* Cody Rhodes vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
* CM Punk returns.
