WWE has now confirmed that Tito Ortiz was training at the WWE Performance Center last week.
According to a report from ESPN, it’s “unclear” how serious he is about getting into the wrestling business and Ortiz declined to comment. ESPN said,
UFC Hall of Famer Tito Ortiz trained at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando last week, WWE confirmed with ESPN. Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer was the first to report the info. It’s unclear how serious Ortiz is about pro wrestling in the future. He declined comment via his team. Ortiz, 45, beat former WWE champ Alberto Del Rio in a Combate Americas MMA PPV in December in a bout that was billed as former UFC champ vs. former WWE champ. Sources said Ortiz did well in pro-wrestling training.
For what it’s worth, numerous people who were there had nothing but “great things” to say about Ortiz’s work ethic and enthusiasm.
