As many of you know by now, Joe Gacy will challenge Roderick Strong for the NXT Cruiserweight Championship at this Sunday night’s WarGames pay-per-view event. The match is happening even though Gacy is not within the 205 weight limit for the belt. Gacy has threatened to change the belt into an “all-inclusive” title, as he says that the term cruiserweight discriminates against other wrestlers.
According to a report from the Wrestling Observer, there has been a lot of talk about dropping the NXT Crusierweight title as part of the continued changes being made to the brand. As of this writing, there is no word on whether that means Gacy will be winning the belt on Sunday.
