WWE Considering “Queen Of The Ring” Tournament

According to a report from Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of his Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is planning a “Queen Of The Ring” tournament for 2019. Meltzer said that WWE is looking at another all-female pay-per-view (PPV) for next year. The “Queen Of The Ring” theme seems to be the popular idea being tossed around at the moment.

Earlier this year, WWE held its first-ever all-female PPV entitled, Evolution. At the show, Becky Lynch defended her SmackDown Live Women’s Title against Charlotte Flair in the first-ever Last Woman Standing match. It was an amazing contest and a sure-fire Match Of The Year candidate. Also, Ronda Rousey main evented the show with a Raw Women’s Title defense over Nikki Bella.

Now, WWE could be looking to bring back their classic King Of The Ring tournament, but instead giving the women a run with the now-discontinued regular tournament.
