On March 1, 2023, Lucha wrestler Komander debuted in All Elite Wrestling, taking part in the Face of the Revolution ladder match, which was won by Powerhouse Hobbs.
According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE reached out to Lucha star Komander both before and after his AEW Dynamite debut last week.
It is reported that WWE expressed interest in Komander and contacted him right after AEW announced him for the marquee ladder match.
However, WWE did not offer Komander a contract at that time. WWE actually wanted the young luchador to come in for a meeting so they could see him first.
It is also believed that AEW has a keen interest in signing Komander.
Komander is the third luchador to be contacted by WWE in recent months following Bandido and Dragon Lee. Both Bandido and Lee were approached by WWE after working AEW’s TV tapings without a contract. Bandido eventually signed with AEW while Lee accepted WWE’s offer.
