According to sources, WWE Diva Lana has even more backstage heat these days after something she recently said backstage. The current WWE Diva said something that caused a “new round” of heat on her. Dave Meltzer reports that it “was probably nothing, except everyone is talking about it”. He notes that it has “added to her legacy” in terms of being in the WWE doghouse. For what it’s worth, WWE often turns into a “high-school” atmosphere backstage with ribs being played, people having “heat” over the smallest things, the occasional altercation/fight, etc. It’s been described as a “frat house/high-school” atmosphere for years now.
Lana has been in the doghouse in recent months as it began with her going public with her engagement to Rusev. This forced the company to change storyline directions. Many WWE officials felt she intentionally leaked the story to TMZ.com to get out of a storyline she didn’t want to take part in. The heat continued when she publicly called out Paige on Twitter and called her a bully, which sparked a social media feud between the two Divas.
It should be noted that Rusev is well-liked backstage and he’s still in “good standing” with WWE management. There is no word on if The Rock “ripping Lana a new one” on RAW had anything to do with what she said or the backstage heat.
