It was reported earlier this month that talent backstage expected the annual WWE Draft to take place after Clash at the Castle. This was due to several RAW stars being booked for the September 9th episode of SmackDown and SmackDown stars being booked for the September 5th and 12th episodes of RAW. However, it appears the WWE Draft may not happen next month.
According to Fightful Select, several RAW stars have been unbooked from the September 9th SmackDown. USA Network sources have reportedly spoken to talent about the Draft not taking place in the immediate future. Some have suggested that the Draft will occur during WrestleMania season next year. However, USA Network does not have the Draft listed internally for future dates.
