Seems at though WWE’s time at Tropicana Field will be ending in the next couple weeks.
According to a report from Jon Alba, WWE’s residency at Tropicana Field will be ending on April 2nd, which is about a week before the Tampa Bay Rays kick off their regular season (April 9th). The company is expected to remain in the Tampa, FL area, looking to land a residency contract with Yuengling Center at USF.
WWE will be taping the April 9th go-home edition of SmackDown on April 1st. They are also expected to tape the go-home edition of RAW before WrestleMania next week. The company will tape the April 5th RAW on March 30th. Both shows will be taped alongside portions of the Hall of Fame ceremony broadcast.
WWE has yet to officially confirm the move as of this writing.
