WWE Extreme Rules 2022 is the latest success for WWE, as the show was reportedly a “legitimate” sellout.
In the past, multiple wrestling promotions have inflated ticket sale numbers, with WWE often doing this for WrestleManias.
In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it is reported that WWE put 13,000 seats on sale, and 13,000 seats sold.
“The show was a legitimate sellout. There were 14,500 fans in attendance with 13,000 paid. This also gave the event a gate of over $1 million.”
WWE’s next big event will see them travel to Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel on November 5.
