The following is our play-by-play coverage of this match from the WWE Extreme Rules PPV event:
WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns vs. Finn Balor (The Demon) – Extreme Rules Match
They brawled to start things off. Balor hit Reigns with a kendo stick a few times before Reigns knocked him down. Balor tossed him into the steel steps then rained down strikes. They brawled into the crowd and Balor sent him through a table. Once they got back into the ring, Reigns sent him through another table. They did a few spots then Reigns hit a spear for a near fall as Balor hit a low blow.
Balor tossed him to the floor and hit an outside dive. Balor with a double foot stomp off the top rope. The Usos came out to beat down Balor. The Usos tried to send him through a table, but Balor fought out. Balor sent The Usos through the announce table then Reigns speared Balor through the barricade. The lights would turn red and then the Demon’s music would play so Balor popped up. Balor hit a drop kick to Reigns through a table. Balor went to the top rope, but the rope broke and Reigns hit a spear to Balor for the win.
Winner: Roman Reigns
