WWE has ditched the unfortunate name for the pairing of Drew McIntyre and Sheamus, given the rather un-PG connotations.
Earlier this month, the pair of former WWE Champions was christened ‘The Banger Bros.’ on SmackDown.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE has ditched the name, given its closeness to the name of the adult-film production group the Bang Bros.
This is hardly the first time WWE has had to ditch a name, as they changed the name of the Submission Sorority (Paige, Charlotte Flair, and Becky Lynch) in 2015.
After the name was used, the Bang Bros, who produce a Submission Sorority series, thanked WWE for the free advertising.
