There have been reports of late that Triple H has “softened” on his position about bringing CM Punk back to the WWE. Following the conclusion of the investigation after the events of AEW’s All Out pay-per-view event, a new report indicates that WWE have not had any contact with CM Punk or Ace Steel.
WWE cannot legally contact Punk at this time since he’s still technically under contract to AEW. There is no word on how CEO Nick Khan or Triple H feel about the current situation. While Punk would no doubt garner huge reactions and generate business, this latest incident has done him no favors. Assuming that Punk would even want to go back to WWE, this does not help the perception that Punk is difficult to work with.
As for Ace Steel, he is said to be upset that the incident took place and would like to “move past this,” and has faced harassment online following the backstage skirmish.
