On March 3, 2023, a jury trial took place in Florida Middle District Court with respect to the lawsuit filed against WWE over a 2019 traffic accident in Tampa, FL.

The lawsuit was filed by the plaintiff Jackson Parsons, who was injured in the accident. Parsons had alleged that a van rented by WWE and driven by a WWE employee crashed into him while he was riding his bicycle.

The jury ruled that although WWE’s negligence had caused Jackson’s injuries, the plaintiff’s own negligence cannot be ruled out since it was also a significant factor in the incident taking place.

The jury ruled that WWE held 35% of the negligence while Parsons was responsible for 65%.

While the jury totaled Parson’s damages at $948,000, WWE was ordered to pay Jackson $331,800 based on their own level of negligence in the accident.

Pwinsider reports that the case was closed by the Honorable Court on March 7th.
