WWE has issued the following statement on Jeff Hardy’s arrest:
“Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions.”
According to the Myrtle Beach Police Department, Hardy was arrested for Public Intoxication and Impairment at 1600 N Ocean Blvd at 11:30 AM outside the Hilton by Enclave Resort. According to the police report, Hardy was booked at 12:30 PM. He posted a small $153 bond during the afternoon and was released from custody.
There is an upcoming court date scheduled but the exact date is unknown as of this writing. According to a report by Heelbynature.com, an officer stated that due to it being an ordinance violation, nothing will likely happen since it is a misdemeanor. Hardy could face up to 30 days in jail, but will likely only have to pay a small fine instead.
Jeff was arrested for a DWI last year, following a car accident.
Hardy won’t be required to show up in court if he doesn’t want to fight the charge. It also won’t hurt his ability to appear in South Carolina and is on the same level as a parking ticket locally.
