According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is expected to launch a new Performance Center in Japan soon. The official announcement from WWE is expected to come in the next few months. If everything goes as expected, the announcement could possibly come in the summer.
WWE will be returning to Osaka and Yokohama in July for a few live events, so the announcement could come there. The company has also reportedly reached out to Hall of Famers Antonio Inoki and Hiroshi Hase about the political situation surrounding the new PC. Hase is a semi-retired professional wrestler who was named the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
The report did not mention if the new Performance Center would include a new NXT Japan brand to go along with it. This will be the third WWE PC to be opened, along with the first in Orlando back in 2013, and the UK PC in London in January of 2019.
