As we’ve noted, the WWE is gearing up to begin a residency inside the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, where they’ll run a series of shows inside the “WWE Thunderdome.” It all kicks off with tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Per a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE will be staying at the Thunderdome until October 30, meaning they’ll hold three pay-per-views (PPV) at the location.
This includes SummerSlam, Payback on August 30, and Clash Of Champions on September 27. As for the rest of the PPV schedule, it remains to be seen if WWE will renew their residency contract with the Amway Center at a later date. Other PPVs coming up include Hell in a Cell on November 1, Survivor Series on November 22, and TLC on December 20.
