Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE is looking to take its trend of diversity to the commentary booths. Currently Monday Night RAW’s commentary team consists of Jonathan Coachman, Corey Graves, and Michael Cole.

SmackDown Live’s broadcast team features Graves along with Byron Saxton and Tom Phillips. Meltzer reports that WWE is hiring based on fitting into certain demographics. He then noted that WWE could begin adding women to do color commentary.

No names were given as to who is being considered for the gigs, but one has to think that Beth Phoenix is a candidate. Phoenix called the Mixed Match Challenge Tournament as well as the first-ever WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal.

WWE Hall Of Famer Lita could also be a consideration as she called the Mae Young Classic with Jim Ross.
