The following is from our play-by-play coverage of the WWE Money in the Bank PPV event:
WWE Raw Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley vs. Charlotte Flair
Flair beat down the champion early on until Ripley tossed her to the floor. The fans were chanting for Becky Lynch early on. Back in the ring, Ripley hit a series of strikes and slams before hitting a drop kick. Ripley with a superkick then a suplex into a bridge for 2. Ripley with another suplex. Ripley went for a drop kick off the top rope, but Flair caught her and put her in a boston crab.
Flair went for the Figure Four, but Ripley reversed it. Flair with a big boot for 2. Ripley with a suplex for 2. Flair went to the top rope after sending her to the floor and hit a moonsault. Back in the ring, Ripley put her in a leg submission. Flair got out of it and hit a DDT. Flair with a back elbow then tried to use her feet on the ropes, but the referee saw it. Flair hit Natural Selection off the top rope for a near fall. Flair sent Ripley face first into the ring post then kicked the steel steps into the left knee. Flair locked in the Figure Eight for the win.
Winner: Charlotte Flair – NEW Champion
