WWE NXT Champion Bron Breakker vs. Joe Gacy was booked at this year’s WWE NXT In Your House event. The following is the play-by-play coverage of the match:
Breakker sold for the early parts of the match. Bron fought back and hit an outside dive after hitting a series of shoulder blocks. Gacy did the old Eddie Guerrero chair spot where he faked being hit in the head and tossed the chair to Bron. Gacy with a roll up for 2. Bron with a clothesline then speared Gacy off the apron through the announce table. Bron tossed the chair away and Gacy hit a low blow for a near fall. Bron acted like he was going to hit Gacy with a chair, but hit one of the druids instead. Bron with a spear then hit his finisher for the win.
Winner: Bron Breakker
