Candice with an enzuigiri and follows with a flurry of forearms and a running back elbow. Candice with a snap mare and Candice struggles to get to the turnbuckles but she is able to hit a downward spiral for a near fall. LeRae with a suicide dive to Baszler and then Candice goes up top and hits a tornado DDT for a near fall. Candice tries to get some feeling back into her arm and she goes back to the turnbuckles. Baszler with a forearm and she goes for a gutwrench superplex. Candice with forearms to stop Shayna. Candice goes for a swinging neck breaker off the turnbuckles but Shayna with the Kirifuda Clutch. LeRae gets to the ropes to force a break.
Candice with an inside cradle for a near fall. Candice misses a kick and Shayna with a Dragon suplex but Candice with a double stomp and Unprettier. Candice misses the quebrada and Shayna with a kick and she applies the Kirifuda Clutch. Candice taps out.
Winner: Shayna Baszler
After the match, Baszler applies the Kirifuda Clutch and the referee cannot pull Shayna off Candice. Other officials come to the ring and then Kairi Sane comes to the ring but she is held back from Shayna Baszler.
Sane checks on LeRae and that allows Baszler to kick Sane from behind. Sane has to be held back as Baszler leaves the ring.
Mustache Mountain is outside and they are asked if they have any tricks up their sleeves. Tyler says they don’t need any tricks. Trent says what happened at Royal Albert Hall will happen at the Barclay Center.
The War Raiders show up and Hanson says it does not matter who leaves Takeover as the tag team champions because they are taking the titles and they will destroy anyone in their way.
William Regal says that he did not know if EC3 will accept Velveteen Dream’s invitation, they will meet at Takeover. Because of what happened recently between Ricochet and Adam Cole, Adam will defend his title against Ricochet at Takeover.
Ricochet will be in action next week and Keith Lee will make his NXT debut.
The NXT Men’s Champion Tommaso Ciampa makes his way to the ring and the crowd is still not happy about what Ciampa has done during his time in NXT.
Ciampa asks Mr. Belt and he says the belt says yes. Ciampa says that the belt thinks Ciampa deserves him and Ciampa agrees. He says they make a beautiful couple. Ciampa says this is his NXT now. Ciampa said all he needed was one moment and one opportunity. Ciampa says he is a man of his word. Ciampa says he wants everyone to take a deep breath. Ciampa says he looks so good with this title. He says he deserves it. No one has ever deserved it the way he does. He wants everyone to enjoy this because this is what it feels like when the Most Dangerous Man in NXT takes his rightful place at the head of the table.
Ciampa goes to the floor and he goes up to a fan who had issues with him in the past. Ciampa says he remembers her and he says that this is his moment and he is her NXT Champion. Ciampa returns to the ring and he says the icing on the cake is that not only did he beat Aleister Black but Johnny Gargano proved that he is a failure once again. Johnny Gargano loses and Ciampa wins. Ciampa says something to the belt. He tells everyone to think that Gargano and Black are two of the top talents in the world but Ciampa was the one who ended the Gargano fairy tale. He beat Gargano with his hands tied behind his back. He is the man who ended the mystique of Aleister Black. Gargano and Black can bicker about who is 2A and 2B.
There has never been such a gap between number one and number two. Ciampa says that this is proof that HE is YOUR NXT Champion. This proves that NXT is the A Show. Tommaso Ciampa is the greatest sports entertainer of all time.
Aleister Black’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring and he is dressed for a fight.
Johnny Gargano rushes past Black and takes Ciampa down in the ring. Gargano forces Ciampa out of the ring but Ciampa has his title belt.
Gargano tells Ciampa this is not his NXT as long as Gargano is breathing. You are champ because of him. Gargano turns around into Black Mass.
Black takes the mic and he sit down next to Gargano. Black says Johnny is right. Ciampa is champion because of YOU.
