The following is our play-by-play coverage of the WWE NXT TakeOver 36 event:
WWE Million Dollar Champion LA Knight vs. Cameron Grimes – If Grimes Loses, Ted Dibiase Becomes Knight’s New Butler
Grimes started out strong and took the advantage. Grimes tossed him into the ring steps before hitting a drop kick thanks to help from the WWE Hall of Famer. Knight knocked Grimes off the top rope and beat him down for a few minutes. Knight missed a spring board moonsault. Grimes landed a series of moves until Knight knocked him down. Knight with a face plant for a near fall.
Grimes caught him with a head kick then a superkick followed by a powerslam for 2. Knight hit a reversed suplex off the top rope for a near fall. LA grabbed the title, but ate a head kick. Dibiase punched Knight then put him in the Million Dollar Dream at ringside when the referee wasn’t looking. Grimes hit Knight with the double footstomp for the win.
