The following is from our play-by-play coverage of the WWE NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn 4 event:

Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly jumped the challengers, who then fought back and hit a double team punches. The challengers dumped Strong to the floor and hit a double team senton to O’Reilly. Bate with a powerslam to O’Reilly and Seven with a back splash for 2. Strong now in and hit a backbreaker to Seven then tagged in O’Reilly, who hit some kicks to the chest. The champs worked over Seven in the corner as they pick him apart. Seven managed to hit a snap DDT to O’Reilly then tagged in Bate, who hit some drop kicks and a knee strike to O’Reilly followed by a diving uppercut then ran into a boot. Strong tagged in but Bate hit a wing to Strong while holding O’Reilly.

Strong with a few kicks to the jaw but Bate was able to hit a suplex and german suplex to the champs. Bate with some uppercuts but Strong cut him off with a clothesline. O’Reilly worked over the left arm of Bate. The champions continued the beatdown of Bate with some tag team moves. O’Reilly worked over the legs of Bate with some drops and kicks. Moments later, Bate was able to make his comeback by getting the hot tag to Seven, who cleared house on Strong with various strikes and a back brody drop. Seven with an outside dive to O’Reilly. Back in the ring, Seven with some clotheslines then a powerslam to O’Reilly. Seven with a german suplex to Strong and a powerslam for 2. Strong with some back elbows and tagged in O’Reilly, who hit a running kick and brainbuster to Seven for 2. Strong tagged in and they hit running knee strikes. Strong with an Olympic slam for 2. Bate with a rolling kick but Strong took him out with a powerslam. Strong locked in the O’Reilly Hold on Seven while Strong locked in a triangle choke on Bate.

However, Bate slammed O’Reilly into Strong with one arm. Bate with an uppercut to Strong then a suplex to O’Reilly followed by an outside dive to O’Reilly. Bate bounces off the ropes and takes out Strong. Bate hit a powerbomb on Strong in the ring for 2. The crowd is going nuts at this point. Bate went to the top rope where O’Reilly knocked him down and allowed Strong to send Bate knee first into the turnbuckle.

O’Reilly locked in a heel hook on Bate and Seven was about to throw in the towel but didn’t and tossed it aside and back dropped Strong over the top rope. Seven got the tag and exchanged strikes with O’Reilly then hit a clothesline for 2. Bate was tagged in and they hit their tag team finisher for a near fall. Seven now in and the champions took out Bate then hit their finisher for the win.
