Bron Breakker successfully retained the NXT Championship against Grayson Waller inside the steel cage in the main event of WWE NXT: Vengeance Day.
Before scoring the victory, Breakker declared to Waller that the steel structure was his “dog pound” and that he runs NXT.
During his entrance, Breakker paid tribute to his uncle, WWE Hall of Famer Scott Steiner, sporting a chainmail hood. Despite a valiant effort, Waller failed to dethrone Breakker. The champion nailed the challenger with a vicious spear to retain the NXT Title.
Carmelo Hayes made an appearance following the main event to declare his intentions of going after Breakker’s NXT Championship. Hayes beat Apollo Crews in a two-out-of-three falls match earlier in the night.
